HARP JET BOAT

|
To be another visual presence in the Halton Community. To be able to assist HARP ground personnel as required and to provide prompt, professional response to boaters in the community during the summer season. Emergency Search and Rescue Service HARP Marine Unit
is really just an extension of our commitment to serving the Halton
Community. Just an another venue that HARP initiated last year by
being out on our local waters during most of the boating season. Our
unit is equipped with all the sophisticated communication and standard
emergency equipment to aid most boaters that may have a water
emergency. Get to know us around the Harbours, come up and introduce
yourself. We may be in the right place and the right time to give
you a helping hand. Training: Our Marine Security Officers are trained in Security Functions, Boating Safety, Vessel Identification, First Aid and CPR and pride themselves in Communications and Client Relations skills. The Marine Officers operating our vessel have received training through the Oakville Power and Sail Squadron on marine operations, regulations and government standards. Deployment: Our mandate is to be in the water at anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week within 20 minutes. HARP Marine Services has direct radio communications with our 24 hour communications and monitoring centre, providing immediate response from our land, water and air units. (Yes, we have a helicopter in our Air Division) . Uses: |
