June 22nd, 2007 ARRESTS MADE IN EARLY MORNING THEFT
At approximately 4:20am this morning, HARP Security received a compound alarm from a local dealership. Two males were seen on camera removing floor mats and tools from the trunk of a vehicle.
The two males then moved to another vehicle, where they used stolen jacks to raise it and proceed to remove the wheels. Two of the jacks were later determined to be from another theft, believed to have taken place at another dealership earlier the same morning. The HARP Security officer, along with Halton Regional Police moved in on the two thieves, who ran... right into the jaws of the waiting Police Canine unit. The two thieves were arrested and charged.
This is yet another incident that reinforces the need to ensure that vehicles are locked. HARP Security provides an inexpensive site check service, to check, report, and secure the vehicles on your dealership. For more information on this service, contact HARP Security at 905-827-6655.
