WITH CRIME ON THE RISE AND CUTBACKS TO FACE, the time needed for Police to respond to an alarm signal can take up to half an hour, or more. Halton Alarm Response and Protection Ltd. (H.A.R.P.) knows that timing is everything when it comes to responding to an alarm. They understand it can mean the difference between a crime completed or not, and in some cases between life and death. Without the ever expanding responsibilities of the police service, H.A.R.P. security officers are able to be on the scene when you need them, in under 12 minutes*.
In order for H.A.R.P. to excel in response time, the sequence of events once an alarm sounds is fast and to the point. The type of alarm is identified, the time is recorded along with any case specific details, and a H.A.R.P. Security vehicle is immediately dispatched.
Each alarm response vehicle is a 4x4 enabling H.A.R.P. to respond to any kind of emergency no matter what the weather. They are all equipped with mounted video equipment, used to record all activity when entering an area; high intensity light units capable of illuminating all areas surrounding the vehicle; on board computers to assist with information transmission and retrieval, and to ensure accuracy in compiling reports; and extensive first aid, fire extinguishing and road-side assistance equipment.
If the scene status is determined to be an actual break-in, the police are contacted immediately. As the request is coming from a H.A.R.P. Security Officer, the police know it's an emergency call and respond accordingly. H.A.R.P. remains on the scene video taping until the police arrive. at which point H.A.R.P. presents the police with detailed floor plans of the premises. H.A.R.P. officers will remain on the scene for up to one hour to act on behalf of the client.

If the scene status is determined to be a false alarm, the H.A.R.P. Officer resets the system, locks the premise and clears. A complete report detailing times and any unusual occurrences, and any apparent reasons for what caused the alarm are noted and sent to the client. If the
appar
ent cause of the false alarm is repeated in a single day, someone from the premises is contacted to see if they want continued response. This is only undertaken when it is obvious the problem lies within the system itself, and continued response will only result in additional expense.
With the attention to detail provided by H.A.R.P. Security, the Patrol Officer knows whether or not people should be on their client's premises, and can tell at a glance if something is wrong. This, combined with their responsiveness to emergency needs, is why H.A.R.P. provides its customers with a peace of mind so hard to come by these days. So, don't wait to become a victim. Feel the sense of security that comes from knowing help, if you ever need it, is just minutes away.
